[Harmony-users] Info request: GPL and CAA

Dear Harmony-users.list,

I'm trying to manage the distribution of software of a public sector 
entity. I was moving towards an open source license (probably GPL or 
EUPL because even in Italian version).
The question I am asking is the following: X distributes the software 
ALPHA to Y under the GPL for example; then Y signs a Contributor 
Agreement with the assignment of copyright on contributions to X. If Y 
in turn distributes to C, by GPL for instance, how do I constrain the 
contributions of C to ALPHA software in the same way as I did with Y.

I do not have interest in controlling derivative work: here the name of 
the software has to be changed otherwise you are infringing my 
trademark. But I would like to keep control on modification of the main 
code and to keep the copyright on it.

What do you recommend? I should perhaps use a different distribution 
license? or there is a way to make this legal system of contributions 
assignment working also for following distribution?
